Energy and Emissions Efficiency
We have made substantial investments in renewable energy sources with low carbon emissions and energy efficiency measures to minimise emissions. The mining and processing of our ore will be the main sources of Scope 1 and 2 emissions at our Kathleen Valley operation.
The heavy transportation required to transport our concentrate product from the mine to Geraldton Port, approximately 680 kilometres away, will contribute to Scope 3 emissions.
Throughout the life of the mine, we will prioritise energy efficiency.
